A couple from Weybridge celebrated their 50th anniversary in style at the weekend with a trip down memory lane.
Wendy and Bernard Andrews, both 70, of Kings Road, Weybridge, went up to Picadilly on Saturday with 48 other friends for a meal in the Criterion restaurant with 50 people in total for 50 years of marriage.
A funeral service was held on Monday (27) for an energetic dancer and singer from Weybridge.
Peter Gordeno, of Old Avenue, was 69 when he passed away on October 18 at his St George's Hill family home after a long battle with liver cancer.
Laser clay pigeon shooting and an inflatable assault course will highlight in a event next Wednesday October 29.
The Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership will host the Community Action Day in Churchfield Recreation ground between 10am and 2pm on the day.
The free event will coincide with half term, which will include advice on safety and housing issues.

Cash donated by Coffee Republic customers for child victims of the Asian Tsunami has been stolen in broad daylight by a brazen thief.
More than £500 was taken from the cafe in High Street, Weybridge, on Monday, 2.30pm, when a man walked in through a back door and helped himself.

The Princess Alice Hospice 'Look Good Feel Great' patient makeover day on Friday 10 of October saw project partner and world famous hairdresser Trevor Sorbie and the FAMOUS make up team return to host a day of patient pampering. The event held to coincide with World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on Saturday 11 October comes very soon after the incredible success of a visit from Trinny and Susannah on September 24.

On Saturday 6 September, Jonathan Perkins, Trustee of the Princess Alice Hospice led by example as he took part in the Hospice's first Midnight Walk, he also encouraged two other trustees Lynn Gilbert and Jenny Provin to join him and make up a team called 'The Alice Band'.
