Crash claims life of popular Sameer
Sameer Monem, 28, of Curzon Road in Weybridge was killed on November 3 after a car in which he was a passenger left the road and hit a tree.
The Renault Clio was being driven by his 23-year-old girlfriend when the accident occurred in Heath Road, Weybridge, at about 9.30pm.
Sameer suffered lower limb fractures and head injuries and was rushed to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, but was declared dead at 10.20am on November 5 when his life support machine was switched off.
His mum Irene, a librarian at St George's College Weybridge in Addlestone, paid tribute to her son.
She said: "Sameer constantly had a smile on his face. He had a love of life and lived his life to the full this was just an unfortunate accident. He never held a grudge and was always helpful."
Sameer's body was taken to Surrey Islamic Centre in Addlestone where 160 people prayed for him prior to his burial.
Tributes have been placed at the spot where the car crashed, including a Manchester City shirt, as Sameer was a keen supporter of the team.
