Cadets from St John Ambulance completed their five week communication course last Thursday (19).
As part of their training at the Weybridge headquarters, in Wey Road, cadets aged between 11 to 16, learnt the phonetic alphabet, the 24 hour clock and how to use the division's radios.

Elmbridge council walked away winners at the Clean Britain awards last Tuesday (10) for its first class standards in street cleaning.

Young rugby players and coaches at Reeds Minis Weybridge Club are pinning their hopes on six wooden racing horses to help them raise cash for a new club shop.
The 4ft-high horses, made and painted by coach Mick Thornton and mum Louise Scambler, competed for the first time at a fund-raising event at Reeds Whiteley Village clubhouse, in Whiteley Village, Hersham, on Friday.
Following a successful trial run, St George's College, in Weybridge, Addlestone has announced that it's assisted place scheme is to become a permanent fixture in school admissions.
After initially offering five places for entrance to the school in September 2009, a further two have been added due to the number and quality of applicants.
The annual general meeting for the Elmbridge Business Network is to be held on Wednesday March 18.
The meeting will offer advice on how businesses can manage during the current economic downturn, as well as hearing plans for funding reinvestment by Elmbridge Borough Council.
The meeting is being held at 8.15am, in the Civic Centre, in Portsmouth Road, Esher and is free and open to all businesses in the borough.

Brave students and staff at Brooklands College in Weybridge prepared themselves for a marathon leg waxing session on Thursday (26).
Eight public services students, and six staff collected money throughout the week to raise cash for Help For Heroes, which helps to raise awareness and support British servicemen and women injured in Iraq or Afghanistan.
