A Brooklands college student has been rewarded for his hard work by being given a bursary from Walton Rotary Club.
Daniel Deluce, 17, who is a student at the college in Heath Road, Weybridge, has been given a helping hand as he has not missed a single minute of his level one catering course at the college this past year.

The Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership is looking to build closer links with resident associations in the borough in an effort to combat crime and anti social behaviour.
The partnership currently communicates with 32 resident groups, which works out as roughly a third of Elmbridge, but wants to have more dealings with the groups so they can combat issues quickly.

A new course is being launched at Brooklands College in October, to give aspiring police officers the knowledge they need for police work.
Teaming up with Portsmouth university and Surrey police, the course is required for potential recruits before they can apply to become a police officer.
The course will be taught as a one day course over 15 weeks at the Weybridge campus, in Heath Road, and as a one evening a week course for 30 weeks at the Ashford campus, in Church Road.
A ceramics cafe in Weybridge is holding a pink themed pottery evening to help raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Starting at 6.30pm on Saturday, August 1, at the Happy Potter cafe in Hamm Moor Lane, ladies are asked to support Breast Cancer Research UK by attending the evening dressed in pink.
Pink refreshments such as wine, pink lemonade and Pimms will be available as well as a charity raffle and the opportunity for women to make imprints of their breasts onto chosen pieces of pottery.

A morning of sport in the park is being held on Saturday July 25, at Churchfields recreation ground, from 10am until 12 noon.
Being put on by Elmbridge council, the session is being held to encourage children aged 8 and upwards to take part in sports, and will be able to take part in games of football, rugby, rounders, volleyball or cricket, at the park, off Church Street, in Weybridge.
The event forms part of the London 2012 open weekend, which encourages communities to take part in sport in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic games.
Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for Elmbridge residents to get involved in sports activities, build up enthusiasm and spread the inspiration behind London 2012. By giving a wider access to sports activities to the local community, Elmbridge demonstrates its commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic games and the values they represent."
Elmbridge youngsters aged between 11 and 19 are being encouraged to take part in an 'Elmbridge has talent' competition.
Although the final is not until Saturday, October 24, youth organisations and schools are being encouraged to enter up to three acts, who would perform at Reed's School, in Sandy Lane, Cobham.
The winner, who can showcase any skill, will receive £1000 for their school or organisation.

Sam Beare hospice, Weybridge is holding a night of classical music at Clandon Park House, with comedian Sandi Toksvig acting as compère.
Taking place at the National Trust property, in Clandon Park, on Friday, July 24, the evening will fuse operatic classics, such as Mozart and Puccini as well as musicals like Les Miserables and South Pacific.

The palliative care hospice, is based at Weybridge hospital, in Church Street, and has just recently changed its name to Sam Beare hospice Weybridge.
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Mercedes Benz World on Saturday, August 1.
They will be performing songs by the legendary rock group Queen, at the driving centre, in Brooklands Drive, Weybridge.
Featuring stars from the West End stage show We Will Rock You, there will also be a light show to accommodate the performance.

A public meeting is being held on Thursday, July 16 to discuss the Elmbridge Core Strategy.
Taking place between 2pm and 4pm at the Civic Centre, in Esher High Street, the consultation will act as an opportunity for residents to give their views on the future of the area.
